Chapter 13

Domestic Policy

Education

The goal of education is not to advance liberalism in America. Honest, non-partisan
teaching and textbooks in America's schools and universities are all we need. Nothing more,
nothing less.

Academia too often looks down at America and frowns upon her, giving students the
wrong perspective on life.

We've had enough good-natured attacks on the historical legacy of America by academics
and historians. We understand our country's mistakes well enough now. It's time to unleash the
vast power of America's true historical greatness in the eyes of our children and grandchildren.

University presidents, deans of colleges, and a large number of professors and graduate
students nationwide are unfortunately embracing humanism and political correctness in campus
culture, leading America away from her foundation of Judeo-Christian values. This needs to be
changed for America to succeed (JRE Link, 2019-0720 (Sat), COM-STR2).

Left-wing extremism on campus––socialism and social justice movements––is a gateway
to full-blown communism and other great evils in society. It corrupts the educational system and
supplants the true spirit of America in the hearts of our young people (JRE Link, 2019-0720 (Sat), COM-STR2).

Social justice warriors are thinking only about what suits them in the moment––their
moment in the sun of a staged protest or photo op. In other words, they are thinking and acting
like the politicians in power... the very kind thing they are supposed to be against.

Let's not extend the misery that devisive politicians & political activists bring to the
nation into our colleges campuses in the form of social justice warriors. As a young citizen of
America, and as a treasured member of society, you have so much to offer the world. Don't link
yourself to left-wing extremism on campus.

The name itself, "social justice warrior," is one of battle, not one of cooperation,
bipartisanship, and establishing peace in the nation.

Let peace calm your soul. Let charity purify your heart, so that you embody true
principles throughout your life.

Charity is not too high of a standard. It's exactly what we want to see fully embraced by
the rising generation of our nation, and by their parents as well.

Charity makes you wise... a perfect complement to the education you are receiving.

Charity—limitless compassion for others, but with the right moral foundation.

Keep to the gospel in society's morals. Don't start a tirade toward disobeying
righteousness.

You're thinking too much about political activism and government power, and not about
what you can do every day all by yourself. The needy, the downtrodden, the sick and the
afflicted are waiting for you right now. The ideal America can be built up, step by step, all
around you, in your neighborhood and community. That's what a true leader will do.

Every citizen needs to know that they are important to society, that they have a role to
play, and that they are loved.

Compassion includes problem solving. Problem solving is not something you put on a
sign and march around with to show the cameras. It is something you dedicate your life to
quietly, away from the cameras, in a carefully planned-out and organized manner.

A problem solver doesn't need to march in the streets to find meaning in his life (JRE Link, 2022-0426 (Tue), COM-STR2).

The problem solver is who society wants to hear from, not someone screaming through a
megaphone to an agitated crowd (JRE Link, 2022-0426 (Tue), COM-STR2).

We've had enough marching in society, and not enough doing. Problem solving is doing.

Decry violence in all its forms. Decry political fights (JRE Link, 2020-1221 (Mon), WSE-MAIN).

Destruction mode—political activists and their followers becoming out of control and
violent, attacking people and businesses in their community (JRE Link, 2021-1003 (Sun), COM-STR2).

Don't follow the extremist playbook or the world will frown upon you and your works
will come to naught.

If you have a strong moral character with regards to civil rights, and that is leading you
forward in life, then that is truly a wonderful thing, and you will inspire many.

But if you don't uphold the laws of the land, and if you don't strive to be a good role
model for others, as an honorable man or woman in society, then you have no moral standing.
Your words and actions as a civil rights activist mean nothing, and you need to repent (JRE Link, 2020-0914 (Mon), COM-STR2).

Chaos is not the way forward. Civilization requires that laws are established and that laws
are obeyed (JRE Link, 2020-1006 (Tue), COM-STR2).

The protestors, the rioters, and the looters have all the answers for society. Oh wait... they
don’t (JRE Link, 2020-0617 (Wed), COM-STR2).

Social justice movements make universities and society at large more volatile.

Social justice movements are for those who like to complain and complain and complain.
These movements offer no viable solutions, only more misery for the people.

Social justice warriors are not equipped to solve society's ills. They only add to them (JRE Link, 2019-0719 (Fri), COM-STR2).

Social justice warriors can’t handle criticism. They cover their ears and run to the nearest
safe space (JRE Link, 2020-0911 (Fri), COM-STR2).

Remember, criticism is an important part of free speech, and an important part of the
scientific method. That is what receiving an education and learning to become an adult is all
about.

Social justice warriors don’t listen to reason and don’t want to hear any dissension from
their views. The public policy ideas that political opponents have are rarely considered or
debated.

For social justice warriors, the truth of public policy is incidental to the goals they want
to achieve in society.

You know the truth is with you if you are working with others to accurately identify
problems in society, and then working with others to help solve them. The marching/protesting
step, therefore, can be bypassed entirely.

Open your heart to the greatness of America as she stands today. Be one who loves
learning in school, and one who is preparing oneself for a career and to be a responsible citizen,
and not to become an agitator who undermines the peace and well-being of society.

Reactive political activism and marching in the streets too often just misses the mark. It is
an emotional response, not the carefully thought out, logical response that society needs (JRE Link, 2020-0819 (Wed), WSE-MAIN).

As a college student, you need to be humble enough to realize that many issues are
complicated, require a good amount of research and formal study to fully understand, and may
suggest a wide range of sound policy prescriptions to resolve in the final analysis.

Law, Crime, and Law Enforcement

You, as a citizen, have the duty to obey the law. We, the government of the people, have
the duty to enforce the law (JRE Link, 2018-0710 (Tue), COM-STR2).

The purpose of law enforcement is to protect the American people from acts of crime, to
protect the innocent—this comes first.

Keeping criminals out of prison and on the road to redemption is an important goal of
society, but that comes second.

Obeying the law is the only way to live a full and happy life.

Those who tell you it's ok to break the law and commit crime have already failed in their
own lives. Just ignore them.

Crime is never the answer to life's problems.

Criminals are selfish and care only about themselves. You help others in society by
obeying the law and setting a good example (JRE Link, 2022-0711 (Mon), COM-STR2).

There is no such thing as a successful criminal. The luck a criminal has in avoiding
capture and prosecution will soon run out.

Crime destroys lives. Crime destroys entire communities.

Summer of love in 2020—no, it was not that. The Seattle mayor was seriously wrong (JRE Link, 2021-0729 (Thu), COM-STR2).

Apologize to the police for disrespecting them. The Defund the Police movement was a
tragic scam (JRE Link, 2021-0729 (Thu), COM-STR2).

Defund the Police movement—a failure to understand the basics of societal structure, and
a failure to understand simple logic (JRE Link, 2021-0729 (Thu), COM-STR2).

Defund the Police movement—politicians and activists seeking their own political
fortunes without regard to the real-world consequences of their poorly-constructed policy
initiatives.

Let law enforcement agencies do their job, keeping our streets, sidewalks, and places of
business free from criminals and public nuisances. We need common sense in the handling of the
homeless, not the woke extremes that destroy cities and create community health and crime
dangers.

Coddling criminals and giving out light sentences does not bring peace and stability to
our communities, nor does it reduce crime in society.

Cycling career criminals in and out of a weak justice system, time after time, does not
lead to a change in their hearts, nor does it put them squarely on the road to rehabilitation.

Building up your street cred among liberal elites throughout the nation, advancing a left-
wing agenda, and advancing your political career are incredibly poor reasons to release a career
criminal out of jail... who then immediately goes out and commits more crime on the streets.

The glory of liberalism should never take precedence over the well-being of society (JRE Link, 2022-0730 (Sat), COM-STR2).

Fund the police everywhere—in every town, city, and state (JRE Link, 2021-1103 (Wed), COM-STR2).

Policemen in America are rock solid, like Lieutenant Mike Stone. Keep these brave men
and women in your thoughts always. Don't leave home every morning without asking a special
blessing upon them in your family prayers (JRE Link, 2022-0123 (Sun), COM-STR2).

Acts of crime in poor communities create two victims––one, the direct victim of the
crime; and two, the citizens in their communities who are victims of the broader economic and
societal effects of crime-ridden neighborhoods.

Poverty and hopelessness by themselves can be overcome in a poor community. Love,
hope, faith in God, education, hard work, and the assistance of righteous men and women among
the middle class and rich who want to help.

The combination of poverty and rampant crime together, however, creates a more
complex problem for a community to overcome. Crime must be reduced first to a manageable
level in order to create a stable and long-lasting foundation for economic development, improved
education, and greater job and business opportunities.

Crime is intimidating to law-abiding citizens, to teachers in schools, to social workers, to
those willing to volunteer their free time and special talents, to businesses, and to investors. You
can't build a successful community if crime is lying in wait to immediately tear it down.

Less fighting and more learning in the inner cities is greatly needed.

To gang members: Please run away and escape a life of crime! Create a wonderful new
future for yourself through reading and by developing your mind. Success in life will follow.

Do career evaluation and risk assessment. Consider retraining yourselves for other
careers outside of the illegal drug industry that have more stability, less risk, and greater long-
term, quality-of-life potential.

Alcoholism and drug abuse will not lift you out of depression, and they will surely not lift
you out of poverty.

Drug use by the middle-class and the wealthy in society contributes both directly and
indirectly to the criminal problem in poor neighborhoods. Hollywood, music recording artists,
sports stars, Wallstreet, and corporate America—are you listening? This is where you can set a
good example to young, impressionable kids and make an impact on the nation.

Young people, put your drug use where your political-activism mouth is. Your abstinence
from illegal drugs will help America's poor make significant inroads in the fight against crime in
their communities, and will also help to the stabilize the governments of poor drug-producing
nations who are being overrun by powerful cartels––a double win for the poor.

Welcome to the FBI. Political ideology must be left at the door as you enter in to work
every day or the nation will lose trust in this critical institution.

Society and Culture

Rap music culture conveys the wrong message––inner city turmoil, drug abuse, crime,
violence, broken families, and destroyed lives (JRE Link, 2019-0315 (Fri), COM-STR2).

Rap music culture has little to offer society. It promotes false role models and false
ideals. Struggling communities need true role models to inspire their youth.

Rap music culture—passing poverty down to the next generation, from father to son (JRE Link, 2019-0315 (Fri), COM-STR2).

The great population of unwed mothers in the nation need guidance. Their young,
growing children even more so (JRE Link, 2017-0717 (Mon), COM-STR2).

The women of America are full of kindness and mercy. They need protection in the
home, in the streets, and in the workplace (JRE Link, 2017-1221 (Thu), COM-STR2).

The women of the United States are magnificent––our mothers; our wives; our sisters;
our daughters; our grandmothers, aunts, and other family relations; our business leaders and
government leaders; our co-workers; our friends and fellow citizens.

Traditional mothers in the home––sadly, they're being mocked by our media-driven
popular culture, and the dire consequences are playing themselves out every day in society.

Pro-Life and Pro-Choice

Choice: (1) the choice of a man and woman to honor and respect the powers of
procreation, both inside and outside of marriage; and (2) the choice of a woman to bring a child
into the world (JRE Link, 2020-0821 (Fri), COM-STR2).

Try to focus on making a good choice on #1, and the choice on #2 will be much easier for
you.

Hope—the hope a baby has to come forth into the world and become a cherished member
of a family and of society.

I want to live—the testimony of the unborn.

Abortion—let’s make it more and more rare, not more and more frequent (JRE Link, 2020-0821 (Fri), COM-STR2).

Third trimester abortion—there is an overwhelming consensus in America against it.

Second trimester abortion—there is a strong majority against it (JRE Link, 2022-0505 (Thu), WSE-MAIN).

First trimester—the world is learning the truth about it as time goes by (JRE Link, 2022-0505 (Thu), WSE-MAIN).

Whole numbers of babies conceived and babies born, not fractional pieces subtracted
out... I AM.

There are exceptions (JRE Link, 2022-0505 (Thu), WSE-SPF).

The Pro-Life exceptions of (1) health of the mother, (2) rape, and (3) incest are valid.
These exceptions are necessary for the physical and emotional well-being of the mother, and to
respect the rights of the victim in society when crimes are committed. God understands and
makes allowances for these exceptions (JRE Link, 2020-0821 (Fri), COM-STR2).

Being morally clean is an important part of being righteous.

To the men—Respect the honor, reputation, and chastity of all the women you date (JRE Link, 2020-0821 (Fri), COM-STR2).

To the women—Complete abstinence before marriage is an inspired principle to live by (JRE Link, 2020-0821 (Fri), COM-STR2).

Abstinence before marriage strengthens your faith in God (JRE Link, 2020-0821 (Fri), COM-STR2).

Premarital sex is simply wrong:

(1) wrong morally

(2) wrong from a health perspective

(3) wrong financially (outside of the safe financial foundation of marriage)

(4) wrong from a family perspective (potentially having parenthood or parent-like
decisions come upon you suddenly without the proper preparations)

(5) wrong from a social perspective (putting undue social pressure on you among family
and friends)

(6) wrong from a society perspective (potentially having yourself become an extra
financial burden that others in society must bear for years, or even for generations)

Green Energy

Let's reboot green energy projects throughout the world with great enthusiasm and
momentum, driven by their own intrinsic value in the marketplace and the consumer appeal of
new products.

Green energy will thrive in the marketplace if it's not continuously undermined by its bad
reputation of liberal activism within government and science. Everyone in America can enjoy
participating and helping out regardless of political affiliation. A win-win situation for
Democrats and Republicans both. A win-win situation for the American people and the world.

Voter sentiment and consumer choice in host nations are the primary voices to be
reckoned with in the Climate Change debate. Trying to overpower or bypass them through global
treaties is not the solution (JRE Link, 2018-0625 (Mon), COM-STR2).

Pure energy. Pro-energy (JRE Link, 2018-0201 (Thu), WSE-MAIN).

We need a separation of church and state in public policy here. The Global
Cooling/Global Warming/Climate Change religious movement had by activists must be

Climate change goals have become essentially like zero-covid—extreme, unachievable,
and not useful to the well-being of mankind (JRE Link, 2022-1120 (Sun), COM-STR2).

Good public policy for a clean environment is supported by virtually everyone. Basic
funding in this area at federal, state, and local levels should be a slam dunk.

Green, renewable energy is an end in itself for the nation and for the world. It doesn't
need the religious fervor of left-leaning politicians/political activists behind it. That only scares
away conservatives and confuses the public.

Public investment in green energy––seed money––can support private sector investments
in new technology. Again, common sense––in deciding how much––should rule the day here in
Congress.

Remember, the earth and all things big and small in the universe are in the hands of our
Creator. The earth was created for man, not man for the earth.

Health Care

Reintroduce capitalism into the health care industry. It's a perfect fit for the industry's ills (JRE Link, 2018-0811 (Sat), COM-STR2).

A special health care industry version of capitalism is not needed. Just regular capitalism
please (JRE Link, 2018-0811 (Sat), COM-STR2).

Knock, knock (JRE Link, 2018-0811 (Sat), COM-STR2).

Who's there? (JRE Link, 2018-0811 (Sat), COM-STR2)

Capitalism (JRE Link, 2018-0811 (Sat), COM-STR2).

What do you want? (JRE Link, 2018-0811 (Sat), WSE-MAIN)

To help you bring costs down.

Medical procedures and prescription drugs need truth in advertising. The truth is how
much they cost... an advertised retail price that everyone can see (JRE Link, 2018-0808 (Wed), COM-STR2).

The health care industry is using made-up rules that don't conform to economic
principles.

Capitalism works. Go back to the basics of economic theory. Stop trying to overthink
everything (JRE Link, 2018-0811 (Sat), COM-STR2).

We don't need economic geniuses that create complex models for the health care
industry. We just need everyone to play by the rules of the game, and the game is capitalism.

What is the role of government regulation in the health care marketplace? To support and
protect free and fair markets, not to inhibit it or construct a new set of rules to play by (JRE Link, 2018-0811 (Sat), COM-STR2).

Let's have a fit—a physically fit and healthy populace in America (JRE Link, 2021-1105 (Fri), COM-STR2).

Medicare needs financial relief. A healthier and physically fit America will reduce her
Medicare costs substantially over time. Better life choices among both old and young do not
require money (JRE Link, 2021-1105 (Fri), COM-STR2).
